About
The forth Northern Region Junior Qualifier, the 2019 A&L Smash Repairs Northern Region Junior Squash Championships, will be hosted at the Mackay Squash Club on the 4th to 5th May 2019.
The 2019 A&L Smash Repairs Mackay Junior Squash Championships is a premium regional junior tournament with OVER $1800 in PRIZES/GIFT CARDS.
Players need to compete in this tournament to be eligible for selection on the Northern Region Redbacks team, which will compete in the Queensland regional teams event at the 2019 Queensland Junior Championships (QJC). The Northern Region Redbacks team will be announced at the presentation.
Games may be scheduled for Friday evening for available players. Otherwise players are expected to be available between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm on Saturday and Sunday except with prior approval.
The 2019 A&L Smash Repairs Mackay Junior Squash Championships will commence at 8.30am sharp on both days. Players are to be present and checked in with Tournament Control 30 MINUTES before the scheduled time of their match. Game scheduling is an estimate of game times. Please be aware we will be "following on".
The tournament promises to be a fun event for all junior players.
FREE Saturday Night dinner will be provided by Dominos and Northern Region.
Venue: Mackay Regional Botanic Gardens, Lagoon Street (between Jackson Street and Mackenzie Street), West Mackay.
Time: 1800hrs.
Continuing on from the success in 2018, Northern Region will continue to run:
1) Two tiers – an aged championship, alongside a novice graded competition.
This will encourage and inspire new players to the sport and tournaments.
2) Doubles team nominations & matches for Aged Championship Players only.
ENTRY FEES:
Aged Championship Entry Fee - 1 Event $40, 2 Events $50
Doubles (for Aged Championship Players only) - $5
Novice/Graded (Player's eligibility will be determined by the Tournament Director) - $10 Affiliated, $25 Unaffiliated
Minimum of 3 matches.
PAYMENT IN CASH ON THE FIRST DAY OF COMPETITION PRIOR TO PLAYING, AT CHECKIN.
